Spirit of Nature. The Wendingo does not require material components to cast the Gaseous form and or maintain concentration while transmuted by the spell. Additionally the Wendingo keeps its initial hovering speed while it is transmuted by the spell.

Rending Hunger. When the Wendingo scores a Critical hit on it's Rending Bite, it deals triple damage instead of double damage.

Regeneration. The Wendingo regains 20 hit points at the start of each of their turns. This does not happen if they have taken fire damage prior to their turn.

Innate Spellcasting. The Wendingo can innate cast spells from the wizard spell list. Its spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 15, +6 to hit with spell attacks). The Wendingo  can innate cast the following spells.

At Will. Dancing Lights, Ray of Frost, Resistance, Chill Touch, Gaseous form

3/Day Each. Detect Magic, Magic Missile, Shield, Invisibility

Actions

Maddening Whisper (1/Day). The Wendingo can target one creature that they can see within 120 ft. forcing the creature to make DC 15 Wisdom saving throw. Upon a failed save the creature will become charmed by the Wendingo for 1 day. While charmed, they are compelled to find the source of the whispers and are drawn towards it, using their action to dash getting closer to the target. Additionally the creature has disadvantage on all perception checks while under this charmed state and cannot attack the Wendingo. On a successful save, the creature will take 4d6 Psychic damage, ignoring any resistances they may have. This effect ends once the creature is attacked by the Wendingo.

Rending Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d8 + 4) Slashing damage. On a hit, the creature must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw, on a failed save, the creature will take an additional 2d4 Slashing damage and can repeat this save on each of their turns. This damage can only be stopped upon receiving healing at the start of their turn. This damage increases for each successful rending bite the save that the player fails.
