Shapechanger. The werechicken can use its action to polymorph into a chicken-humanoid hybrid or into a chicken, or back into its true form, which is humanoid. Its statistics, other than its AC, are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn't transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies.

Keen Sight. The werechicken has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.

Bad Flier. The werechicken falls at the end of a turn if it's airborne and the only thing holding it aloft is it's flying speed.

Actions

Multiattack. (Humanoid or Hybrid Form Only). The werechicken makes two weapon attacks.

Beak (Chicken or Hybrid Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 3 (1d6 + 1) piercing damage. If the target is a humanoid, it must succeed on a DC 8 Constitution saving throw or be cursed with werewolf lycanthropy.

Scythe (Humanoid Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 6 (2d4 + 1) slashing damage.

Description

A werechicken is usually a small humanoid such as a gnome or halfling. They are found in rural areas, often in or near farming communities. They are considered a menace to farms but not particularly dangerous to humanoids unless provoked.
