Immutable Form. The golem is immune to any spell or effect that would alter its form.
Magic Resistance. The golem has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Woven of Vines. The golem is vulnerable to slashing damage, but resistant to piercing damage.
Multiattack. The golem makes two slam attacks.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) bludgeoning damage.
Entangling Roots (Recharge 5–6). Grasping roots and vines sprout in a 15-foot radius centered on the golem, withering away after 1 minute. For the duration, that area is difficult terrain for nonplant creatures. In addition, each creature of the golem’s choice in that area when the plants appear must succeed on a DC 16 Strength saving throw or become restrained. A creature can use its action to make a DC 16 Strength check, freeing itself or another entangled creature within reach on a success.
Description
Vine golems are constructs created by the magic of powerful druids to protect locations considered sacred to them. They are usually made up of broken chunks of existing stone statues (or even old stone golems), held together and animated by vines wrapping around and through them.
Their unique construction makes them resistant to most magic, as well as normal piercing damage. However, Slashing weapons are particularly effective at damaging the vines that hold their bodies together.
