Cursed Magic. Vytas can innately cast some spells from his mark of apathy. They do not require material components or concentration when he cast these spells.
At will: Chill Touch, Disguise Self, Trepidation (HB)
2/day: Cause Fear, Spirit Shroud (self only, necrotic)
1/day: Blight
Cursed Regeneration. At the start of his turn, when he has hit points missing, Vytas regains 15 hit points. He cannot benefit from the healing of any other source.
Dread Ambusher. Vytas has an initiative bonus of +9. While in darkness, he is invisible to any creature that relies on darkvision to see in darkness.
Dual Wielder. While Vytas wields his Hopeless blades he gains a +1 bonus to AC.
Sneak Attack. Once per turn, Vytas deals an extra 13 (4d6) damage when it hits a target with a weapon attack and has advantage on the attack roll, or when the target is within 5 feet of an enemy of the target that isn't incapacitated and the assassin doesn't have disadvantage on the attack roll.
Stalker's Fury. Once on each of Vytas's turns when he misses with a weapon attack, he can make another weapon attack as part of the same action.
Spellcasting. Vytas is a 5th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 16, +8 to hit with spell attacks). Vytas knows the following Ranger spells:
Cantrips (at will): druidcraft, shillelagh, thorn whip
1st level (4 slots): Ensnaring Strike, Jump, Zephyr Strike
2nd level (3 slots): Beast Sense, Silence
3rd level (3 slots): Conjure Barrage, Protection from Energy
4th level (2 slots): Grasping Vine
Multiattack. Vytas can make two attacks with his Bow of Vengeance, or two attacks with his Hopeless Blades.
Bow of Vengeance (Longbow). Ranged Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, range 150/600 ft., 1 target. Hit: 9 (1d8 + 5) piercing damage and 4 (1d8) necrotic damage. When Vytas makes a ranged attack roll with this weapon against his sworn enemy, he has advantage on the roll. In addition, the target gains no benefit from cover, other than total cover, and Vytas suffers no disadvantage due to long range. If the attack hits, his sworn enemy takes an extra 4d6 necrotic damage.
Hopeless Blade (shortsword). Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 8 (1d6 + 5) slashing damage and 4 (1d8 necrotic damage).
Cause Hopelessness. The Rot Prince slides his hopeless blades together, after making a Multiattack with them. This can be heard up to 60 feet away. Any creature hit by his blades within the last minute that can hear the sound must make an Intelligence DC 16 or reduce their movement speed by half until the start of his next turn.
Two Weapon Fighting. Vytas can make a third attack with one of his shortswords, after taking a Multiattack with them, and still adds his dexterity modifier (+4) to the damage roll.
Cursed Armor (3/day). The Rot Prince's cursed armor thickens when hit by an attack. Until the start of your next turn, you have a +4 bonus to AC, including against the triggering attack.
Vytas can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Vytas regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Seed of Hopelessness. Vytas targets one creature he can see. The creature gains a 1d4 penalty to saving throws. The effect lasts until Vytas dies or until he targets another creature with the same action.
Shadow Step (costs 2 actions). Vytas teleports to a space he can see within 40 feet of him. He is invisible until he makes an attack or casts a spell.
Whirlwind Attack. Vytas makes a melee attack against any creature within 5 feet of him, with separate attack rolls for each for each target.
