Ash Form. The paraelemental can enter a hostile creature's space and stop there. It can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing. Whenever the paraelemental enters another creature's space or whenever another creature enters or starts its turn in the paraelemental's space that creature takes 4 (1d8) fire damage and must succeed on a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or be blinded and incapacitated until the end of that creature's next turn, spending its time incapacitated wheezing and coughing.
Ashen Alkalinity. If the paraelemental moves in 5 feet in water, or for every gallon of water splashed on it, the paraelemental must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or become caustic and have its speed halved. While caustic, the paraelemental is incapable of dealing fire damage in any way, instead dealing 9 (2d8) acid damage whenever it would normally deal any amount of fire damage. The paraelemental ceases to be caustic after 12 hours.
Multiattack. The paraelemental makes two slam attacks.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 12 (2d8 + 3) bludgeoning damage plus 6 (2d4 + 1) fire damage.
Description
Turbulent clouds of ash and whirling embers, this paraelemental is a native of the Paraelemental Plane of Ash. Neutral creatures but easily irritated, ash paraelementals will kill without a second thought if they deem a creature annoying enough.
Not entirely volcanic ash and not entirely wood ash, this strange mixture of substances gives ash paraelementals dangerous abilities. Sharp and suffocating like volcanic ash, yet highly alkaline like wood ash, these paraelementals are truly a force to be reckoned with.
