Burrow (2/day): The Bloodkheg burrows a hole and disapears underground. Anyone standing directly in melee range get an attack of opportunity with disadvantage.
If anyone is moving within 30ft of where it burrowed, it will attempt to burrow up beneath them after it's 1 turn underground. They will have to do a dexterity check with DC 15 and move to a hex adjacent to the Bloodkheg. A failed save forces the target to take [1D8] bludgeoning damage and the target is knocked prone.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d8 + 5) slashing damage plus 4 (1d8) acid damage. If the target is a Large or smaller creature, it is grappled (escape DC 13). Until this grapple ends, the ankheg can bite only the grappled creature and has advantage on attack rolls to do so.
Blood Spray: Blood Spray (Recharge 4): The Bloodkheg burst with searing hot acidlike blood, coming from it's body in a circle 30ft wide, centered on itself. Each creature hit by the blood must succeed on a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking [2d6] fire damage and [2d6] acid damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. If the save failed, they are also stunned for their next turn.
Description
A strange relative of the common Ankheg, the Bloodkheg roam beneath the lush open fields within Amarelia. Able to grow to almost twice the size of a regular Ankheg, it's definitly a terrifying sight. It's plated armor ranging from dark reddish brown to a more scarlet rust-red-like color.
What gives the Bloodkheg it's name howerer is it's ability to eject sizzling, steaming blood from it's body in a wide circle around it, as a deadly attack, often boiling the unlucky adventurer or beast alive, before they gulp their target down in one bite with it's massive jaws.
One of it's most common ways of attacking is to burrow deep underground and wait for passing prey, and when it's close enough burrow directly beneath them, cover the surprised target's with it's signature blood, and gulp them down before they can make heads or tails of what just occured.
