Traits

Aura of Music. The golem magically emanates loud music that it can activate or deactivate as a bonus action. While the music plays, creatures within 30 feet of the golem have disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing and can't hear any creatures other than the golem.

Immutable Form. The golem is immune to any spell or effect that would alter its form.

Magic Resistance. The golem has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Magic Weapons. The golem's weapon attacks are magical.

Thunder Absorption. Whenever the golem is subjected to thunder damage, it takes no damage and regains a number of hit points equal to the thunder damage dealt, and its Aura of Music trait activates.

Actions

Multiattack. The golem makes two slam attacks.

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 19 (3d8 + 6) bludgeoning damage.

Enthrall (Recharge 5–6). The golem plays an enchanting music, its Aura of Music trait activates, and it targets one or more creatures it can see within 10 feet of it that can hear it. Each target must make a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw against this magic. On a failed save, a target is charmed by the golem for 1 minute. While charmed in this way, a target can't perceive any creatures except the golem. The effect is suppressed on a target while it can't hear the golem. Each target repeats the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Description

Golems are a type of construct crafted by mortal hands and the aid of magic described in the Monster Manual. A description of golem creation can be found in the text of the Manual of Golems magic item from the Dungeon Master's Guide, allowing player characters and villains alike to employ golemcrafting to their own ends.

Esoteric Golemcraft. The following golems are made of strange and unusual materials for the art of golemcrafting. The techniques used in their creation are unconventional and require specialized magic, and the manuals describing the creation of these golems are incredibly difficult to find. They might be lurking in ancient forgotten ruins, in the dusty bookshelves of secretive inventors, or inside magical vaults full of arcane treasures. You might find one of these golems, or one of their manuals, in the possession of an archfey, a master artificer, or a celestial trader.

Constructed Nature. A golem doesn't require air, food, drink, or sleep.

Brass Golem

Brass is a flexible and resonant material that is easy to work, making it ideal for shaping and producing music. As a result, golems made of brass can take a variety of forms, from the more mechanical and technological to the more magical and arcane.

Roaring Brass. Most brass golems are built like walking pipe organs. These golems are animated with the magic of conventional golemcraft, using the power of sound and music to bring life to the construct. They blast the sound of brass trumpets and horns as they move and can even hypnotize others using elaborate musical compositions.

Steam Pipes. Some brass golems function not through arcane magic, but through the mechanical action of steam pipes and engines. These golems are wrapped in brass pipes that carry steam through turbines and move the golem with the hydraulic power of steam pressure. To create their characteristic musical sounds, these steam golems emit sharp whistles from their brass pipes like a collection of boiling kettles.

Clockwork Music. There are artificers who craft elaborate clockwork golems out of brass, using the mechanical engineering of gears and springs to animate their brass golems. Clockwork brass golems tend to be blockier and boxier in appearance, as if they are gigantic music boxes with robotic arms and legs. External vibrations can even be used to wind the springs that power the golem.

Creation. A brass golem can be created using its own variety of Manual of Golems. Creating a brass golem takes 150 days and tinkering materials worth 75,000 gp.
