Legendary Resistance. (3/Day). If the Ancient Dire Bear fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
Multiattack. The bear makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d8 + 5) piercing damage.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +19 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d6 + 10) slashing damage.
Daunting Roar. (Recharge 5–6).As a bonus action, the dire bear can let out an especially menacing roar. Creatures of it's choice within 10 feet of the dire bear that can hear it must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become frightened of it until the end of the ancient dire bear's next turn. The DC of the save equals 8 + the dire bear's proficiency bonus + it's Constitution modifier.
Frenzy. On the ancient dire bear's turn, it can enter a frenzy as a bonus action.
While active, the ancient dire bear gains the following benefits:
- It has advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws.
- When it makes a melee attack using Strength, it gains a +4 bonus to the damage roll.
- It has resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.
The ancient dire bear can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The dragon regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
