Description
A griffon is a ferocious avian carnivore with the muscular body of a lion and the head, forelegs, and wings of an eagle.
This particular griffon has been awakened somehow and enhanced its skills in aerial combat to become a more powerful hunter of the skies. Learning techniques usually only used by battle master fighters.
Commanding Presence: When the griffon makes a Charisma (Intimidation), a Charisma (Performance), or a Charisma (Persuasion) check, it can expend one superiority die and add the superiority die to the ability check.
Evasive Flying: When the griffon moves, it can expend one superiority die, rolling the die and adding the number rolled to its AC until it stops moving.
Grappling Strike: Immediately after the griffon hits a creature with a melee attack on its turn, it can expend one superiority die and then try to grapple the target as a bonus action (see the Player's Handbook for rules on grappling). Add the superiority die to its Strength (Athletics) check.
Rally: On the griffon's turn, it can use a bonus action and expend one superiority die to bolster the resolve of one of its companions. When it does so, choose a friendly creature who can see or hear it. That creature gains temporary hit points equal to the superiority die roll + the griffon's Charisma modifier. (The griffon can target itself).
Sweeping Attack: When the griffon hits a creature with a melee weapon attack, it can expend one superiority die to attempt to damage another creature with the same attack. Choose another creature within 5 feet of the original target and within its reach. If the original attack roll would hit the second creature, it takes damage equal to the number the griffon rolls on the superiority die. The damage is of the same type dealt by the original attack.
