Trained Mount. This golem has been trained as a mount by Glauphrag the Puppetmaster Cloaker. As long as Glauphrag is alive, it will only obey his commands, and will only take the Dodge on its turn if it receives no commands. If Glauphrag is riding Urgh, the disadvantage imposed by Urgh's Dodge action does not apply to attacks on Glauphrag. If Glauphrag dies, Urgh will only attempt to defend itself and escape (unless it goes Berserk, as indicated below).

Ventriloquism. While being ridden by Glauphrag, Urgh can speak Glauphrag's words with its own voice, as a free action. When Glauphrag dismounts, he can still command Urgh to speak, but only when he casts the message cantrip. Without Glauphrag's commands, Urgh does not speak, other than to repeat its own name.

Berserk. If Glauphrag dies, roll a d6. On a 4, Urgh goes berserk. On each of its turns while berserk, the golem attacks the nearest creature it can see. If no creature is near enough to move to and attack, the golem attacks an object, with preference for an object smaller than itself. Once the golem goes berserk, it continues to do so until it is destroyed or regains all its hit points. On any other number on the original roll, Urgh takes the disengage action and retreats.

Aversion of Fire. If Urgh takes fire damage, it has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks until the end of its next turn.

Immutable Form. The golem is immune to any spell or effect that would physically alter its form.

Lightning Absorption. Whenever the golem is subjected to lightning damage, (including Glauphrag's witch bolt), it takes no damage and instead regains a number of hit points equal to the lightning damage dealt.

Magic Resistance. The golem has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Magic Weapons. The golem's slam attacks are magical.

Actions

Multiattack. The golem makes two slam attacks.

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) bludgeoning damage.

Reactions

Deflect Attack. Urgh can impose disadvantage on the attack roll of one creature it can see that is within 5 feet of it, provided the attack roll is against Glauphrag.

Urgh does not make attacks of opportunity.

Description

A flesh golem is a grisly assortment of humanoid body parts stitched and bolted together into a muscled brute imbued with formidable strength. Powerful enchantments protect it, deflecting spells and all but the most potent weapons.

Urgh the flesh golem has been trained to serve as a mount for Glauphrag the Puppetmaster Cloaker. It is utterly loyal to Glauphrag, and will obey his commands until his death. Glauphrag uses Urgh like a walking hunting blind, allowing the Cloaker to infiltrate groups of humanoids, then separate and attack the weakest.

Glauphrag makes Urgh dress in the adventuring gear they manage to take from his victims, though Urgh does not wear armor. It will also sometimes carry shields or weapons, but in combat it drops these props and reverts to its slam attacks.
