Stone Camouflage. The glider has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide in rocky terrain.
Multiattack. The glider makes two attacks: one Slam attack and one Spine attack.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) bludgeoning damage.
Spine. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d10 + 3) piercing damage, and the target must make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or take 9 (2d8) damage and become poisoned for 1 minute, or half as much damage and no poison on a successful save. A creature poisoned in this way can repeat the save at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a successful save.
Description
Plated gliders are large mountain-dwelling creatures that use their powerful fins to glide easily through the air. Their thick natural armor doubles as a camouflage for when they land, disguising themselves as the surrounding rocky terrain while they feast on insects and other small creatures. Plated gliders are somewhat intelligent and do not wish to harm creatures, fleeing rather than attacking whenever possible. However, when they are cornered or trapped, they do not hesitate to use their powerful tail and the venomous spine on its end in order to incapacitate its would-be captors or killers and flee. Predators include red dragons, which find the meat of its underside to be particularly delicious (though their armor makes them immune to their fire breath), and stone giants, who love to boil them whole (tails excluded) in large cauldrons of soup.
