Call of the Void. Where there should be a mouth and eyes there are only gaping, black voids. You cannot help but wonder what it would be like if you just... stepped inside. Any creature that sees the face of the Vada must roll a DC13 Wisdom save at the start of its turn. On a failure the creature must spend its entire turn moving as close as it can to the Vada.
Magically Vitalised. Magic suffuses the very being of the Vada. They have advantage on all saves against spells and resistance to all magical attacks and attacks with magical weapons.
Unarmed. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d4 + 3) bludgeoning damage.
Grasp. The vada grabs for the head of one target within 5ft. The target must succeed a DC 14 dexterity save or become grappled (escape DC 13). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained and the vada can't attack another target.
Consume Magic. The vada makes an unarmed attack on a Large or smaller target it is grappling. If the attack hits, the vada pulls the targets face up against its own. Any magical energy within the creature is pulled out of the targets eyes and mouth and into the vada's voids. The target takes 3d6 force damage for each magical item it is attuned to. Additionally, for the next 1d4 rounds any magical effects my have are suppressed and the target is unable to cast spells. Magical weapons are considered non-magical for the duration of this effect.
Kiss of Death. The vada makes an unarmed attack on a Large or smaller target it is grappling. If the attack hits, the vada pulls the targets face up against its own. If the target is under the effect of Consume Magic, it takes 8d10 necrotic damage.
Revitalisation. On taking spell damage, the vada can choose to negate the damage and be healed by that amount instead.
Description
Labourers mine the mysterious metal from deep in the ground of The Realm. Like with any mine, accidents are known to happen. On occasion these accidents happen close to the enigmatic magical field the metal gives off, and when it does the unlucky miners do not always stay entirely dead. Their eyes and mouth draw in on themselves to become swirling voids of indeterminable depth. However, losing their sight and ability to feed is less than an inconvenience as magic sustains the Vada. As long as there is magic for them to draw inexorably into their voids... they live on.
