Description
Found all around marshlands, rivers and where non salty water flows, bobthar hounds are a common seal like creature which is coated in black fur which becomes slick when touching any liquid. Their fins are also don a pair of sharp claws, which they use both to hunt and climb ashore. Normally keeping to themselves, these beasts are known to scare those who wander near their territory with their eerie howls to give a warning before attacking if one comes too close.
Poisonous to the Touch. Bobthar hounds have incredibly sharp barbs hidden in their fur, which are found on its back and tail, inside these barbs is poison which causes anyone pierced by the needles to become numb and unable to move any bodypart which touches or is touching water. The hounds use this both for hunting and defense, as they swat their tails against fish and other smaller prey to paralyze them, and to allow themselves to flee from bigger creatures.
A Lot of Bark, a Lot of Bite. Meanwhile known to give warnings to anyone who wanders into their sight or general area and fleeing at the sight of greater creatures, bobthar hounds can be incredibly aggressive when their warnings are not followed and have been observed attacking both adventurers and commoners alike for not listening to their calls. However threatening they make themselves out to be most consider them a nuisance more than a danger, if one keeps their distance they wont cause any trouble.
