Innate Spellcasting. The Azrael's spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 15, +7 to hit with spell attacks). It can cast the following spells innately:
At Will: Compelled Duel, Toll The Dead
Indomitable Rage (3/Day): As a bonus action on its turn, Azrael can enter into a rage that lasts for 1 minute. While raging, the grave knight gains advantage on all melee weapon attack rolls and deals critical damage on an attack roll of 19 or 20, as well as advantage to saving throws against being frightened.
Vow of Inevitability (1/day). As a bonus action, Azrael places an augury on a creature it can see within 30 feet. Azrael always knows in which direction its target can be found, and has advantage on attack rolls against the creature until the creature dies or the harbinger chooses another target.
Aura of Portents. Each creature of Azrael's choice that is within 30 feet and aware of him must succeed on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or become Frightened for 1 minute as the creature is forced to envision a gruesome end at the hands of Azrael's sword. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to Azrael's aura for the next 24 hours.
Multiattack. Azrael makes 3 attacks with his unique flame tongue greatsword Reaver.
Action Melee Attack. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 11 (2d6+4) magical slashing damage, plus 7 (2d6) fire damage.
Azrael can take 2 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. Azrael regains spent legendary actions at the start of their turn.
Move. Azrael can move up to half his speed.
Compelled Duel (Costs 2 Actions). Azrael casts Compelled Duel
Description
Azrael, Captain of the Misericordia, and the hand of Qamet the tyrannical sovereign of the nation of Xafera. He is a man shrouded in much mystery but with a reputation quickly growing throughout the land. Rumors have begun to spread that when Qamet rose to power he executed the traitorous Dara Varis for her inability to secure the ancient relic of Talsyn's sword. Replacing her as overseer of Caroack was Azrael, captain of a small mercenary group known as Misericordia. Prior to his promotion, the group specialized in shock and awe tactics on the battlefield. Often moving from one battle to the next their taste for combat was never sated. Azrael lived for the fight, however, after his chance encounter with Qamet he was given a unique weapon called Reaver, and ever since brandishing it's blade his personality has never quite been the same.
