Traits

Fire Armor. Zrra is protected by thin wispy flames, that act as her cloth and armor. The clothing sheds bright light in a 40-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet. Whenever a creature within 5 feet hits her with a melee attack, the armor erupts with flame. The attacker takes 2d8 fire damage.

Fire Absorption. Whenever Zrra is subjected to fire damage, she takes no damage and instead regains a number of hit points equal to the fire damage dealt.

Spellcasting. Zrra innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 18, +11 to hit with spell attacks). Zrra can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

At will: create bonfire, mage hand, prestidigitationcontrol flames, pyrotechnics, hellish rebuke

3/day each: wall of fire, scorching ray, flame strike, melf's minute meteors, heat metal

1/day each: delayed blast fireball, incendiary cloud, immolation, fire storm

Actions

Multiattack. Zrra makes two attacks using Fire Bolt, Flame Whip, or a combination of them. She can replace one of the attacks with the use of Spellcasting.

Fire Bolt. Ranged Spell Attack: +8 to hit, range 120 ft., one target. Hit: 23 (3d10) fire damage.

Flame Whip. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d6 + 5) slashing damage, and 5 (1d8) fire damage.

Fiery Explosion (Recharge 4–6). Zrra creates a magical explosion of fire centered on a point she can see within 120 feet of her. Each creature in a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on that point must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw, taking 42 (11d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

 

Description

Zrra is a sorceress who managed to escape her supposed death and teleported to the Feywild with nothing but her talent and power. Her power quickly mingled with the magical energy of the Feywild, transforming her into a fey creature of fire.

She is quick to anger, eager to insult or intimidate, and if any obstacles or problems present themselves before her, her first answer is always fireball. But Zrra was not wholly selfish. She showed a great deal of sympathy for others whom she saw as trapped or constrained by tyranny or otherwise obtrusive authority. She looks down on wizards who need books and tomes to cast and learn new spells and not with their own natural ability.

Alignment. Chaotic neutral

Personality Trait. “There's no problem that can't be solved with a fireball.”

Ideal. “People should be allowed to live without the constraint of law and order.”

Bond. “These rabbit folks are my friends and I will help them!”

Flaw. “I have little respect for anyone who needs research and experiments to do magic.”

Combat Notes

Zrra uses her most destructive spells to end combat as soon as possible and to show off her power. She will use Fiery Explosion as often as she can. But she will end the combat as soon as her opponents surrender.
