Traits

Camouflage. When the worm is hidden, enemies cannot spot it with passive perception and they have disadvantage when making active checks to find it.

Fiery Aura. The space around the worm is dangerous. Creatures take 12 fire damage when they enter this aura or start their turn within it.

Lava Covered Body. Any enemy that touches the worm or hits it with a melee attack while within 5 ft of it take 1 fire damage.

Actions

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 20 ft., one target. Hit: 32 (4d12 + 6) piercing damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 18 Strength (Athletics) check or an Dexterity (Acrobatics) check or become grappled.

Fire Breath (Recharge 4-6). The worm exhales fire in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw, taking 63 (18d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Knockback. Every Creature in a 25 ft. cone must succeed on a Strength Saving Throw (DC 18) or be pushed 20 ft. away.

Bonus Actions

Cunning Action. The worm can Dash, Disengage, or Hide as a bonus action.

Legendary Actions

The worm can take 3 legendary action, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. The worm regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Bite. The worm makes one bite attack

Swallow. The worm makes one bite attack against a Huge or smaller target it is grappling. If the attack hits, the target is swallowed, and the grapple ends. The swallowed target is blinded and restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects outside the worm, and it takes 26 (4d12) fire damage at the start of each of the worm's turns. The worm can have only one target swallowed at a time. If the worm dies, a swallowed creature is no longer restrained by it and can escape from the corpse using 5 feet of movement, exiting prone.
