Proud. The griffon has advantage on checks and saving throws that would cause it to be Intimidated or frightened.
Eagle-Eyed. The griffon has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.
Dive Attack. If the griffon is flying and dives at least 30 feet straight toward a target and then hits it with a melee weapon attack, the attack deals an extra 6 (1d12) damage to the target.
Multiattack. The griffon makes three attacks: one with its beak and two with its claws.

Description
Arch griffons a particular breed of griffon that is typically larger, stronger, and smarter than your average griffon.
Combat
Arch griffons throw their extra weight into their attacks, crushing opponents under their great strength and large claws. Their preferred method is to soar high above their prey, using their incredible vision to zero in. They then dive directly onto them, crushing them while tearing into them, ripping apart creatures even the size of a fully grown bear or horse.
Nature
Griffons are diurnal, meaning they hunt during the day. Arch griffons are of course, no different. Any prey that they successfully kill they typically bring to their nest , to share with their younglings, unless they are starving, in which case they will eat quickly. They mark the territory my slashing marks into trees and rocks. Like all griffons, they hatch from eggs, that look like oversized chicken eggs. These eggs are typically laid in clutches of 1 to 3, and are very hard to crack open, even by a knife or a hammer. When they hatch, they eat only raw meat their mothers bring them. Otherwise, arch griffons tend to act more proud than their kin, and have thicker chest plumage to match their larger and stronger bodies.
Physical Characteristics
An adult arch griffon is a good bit larger than an adult griffon. Their wings, plumage, claws, and everything are bulkier than their cousins, and are overall just a stronger breed. Their eyes are like that of an eagles, with excellent vision, even when trying to spot something from over a mile away. Arch griffons tend to have similar coloration to normal griffons, but with more interesting coat patterns. There's the typical white and browns, but they are also shades of gold and black. The feathers along their wings tend to be striped, dotted, or have wavy lines and other patterns in them.
Arch-Griffon Taming
If raised from birth, an arch griffon will treat its owner as a parent, and when they grow up, see them as an equal. While they are unruly growing up, they reach maturity in 4 to 5 years. They tend to be used as mounts for powerful kings or great mages and paladins. With each egg sold for 1,500 gold or even 4,000 gold from the right buyer. A live baby owlbear under a year old will sell for even more. The DC to train a young arch griffon is a 21, and even higher for an adult, being up to a 28. To pay someone else to train one would cost roughly 1,000 to 2,000 gold.
