Traits

Undead Fortitude. If damage reduces the zombie to 0 hit points, it must make a Constitution saving throw with a DC of 5 + the damage taken, unless the damage is fire or from a critical hit. On a success, the zombie drops to 1 hit point instead.

Stench of Death. Each creature that starts its turn within 30 feet of the ancient corpse lily zombie must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw, unless the creature is a construct or undead. On a failed save, the creature is incapacitated and must spend its turn throwing up. This save can be repeated at the start of every turn. Creatures that are immune to poison damage or the poisoned condition automatically succeed on this saving throw. On a successful save, the creature is immune to the stench of all corpse lily zombies for 24 hours.

Cast Speak With Plants (At Will) You imbue plants within 30 feet of you with limited sentience and animation, giving them the ability to communicate with you and follow your simple commands. You can question plants about events in the spell's area within the past day, gaining information about creatures that have passed, weather, and other circumstances.

You can also turn difficult terrain caused by plant growth (such as thickets and undergrowth) into ordinary terrain that lasts for the duration. Or you can turn ordinary terrain where plants are present into difficult terrain that lasts for the duration, causing vines and branches to hinder pursuers, for example.

Plants might be able to perform other tasks on your behalf, at the GM's discretion. The spell doesn't enable plants to uproot themselves and move about, but they can freely move branches, tendrils, and stalks.

If a plant creature is in the area, you can communicate with it as if you shared a common language, but you gain no magical ability to influence it.

This spell can cause the plants created by the entangle spell to release a restrained creature.

Actions

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (3d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage.

Spore Cloud (Recharge 5-6). A 40-foot radius of spores extends from the ancient corpse lily zombie. These spores can go around corners. All creatures within the sphere and any creature that walks into it must succeed a DC 18 constitution saving throw. Creatures that are immune to poison damage or the poisoned condition do not have to make this save. Each creature that fails this save is poisoned for the next hour and takes 2d6 damage at the start of its turn. This condition can be ended by a lesser restoration spell or similar magic. If this damage reduces a humanoid creature to 0 hit points, that creature dies and after 24 hours becomes a corpse lily zombie. The cloud is dispersed after 2 rounds, and if it is exposed to an open flame before dispersion, it ignites, causing a DC 13 dexterity saving throw. A creature take 4d6 damage on a failed save and half as much on a successful one.

Description

Humanoid figure with root-like vines wrapping around the body and head, seemingly under the skin as well. With a hunched over appearance due to the roughly 5 foot wide flower on its back. The stench of rotting flesh, seemingly mixed with that of rotting unions and an unemptied chamber pot, seems to surround it and permeate the air wherever it dwells. Typically found in heavily wooded areas or humid jungles, it usually resides in colonies of varying sizes, though it only takes one to take a town off the map. The ancient corpse lily zombie has been around long enough that the flower knows how to work the vocal cords and brain to some extent, allowing it to speak falteringly. These corpse lily zombies typically resides deep in jungles surrounded by a colony of adult and adolescent corpse lily zombies. Most colonies will only have one ancient corpse lily zombie since they like to boss the others around.

First corpse lily zombie ever made is rumored to be a necromancer's botany experiment gone wrong.
