Psionic Power. 3rd-level Psi Warrior feature

The bodyguard harbors a wellspring of psionic energy within herself. This energy is represented by her Psionic Energy dice, which are each a d6. She has 6 of these dice, which are detailed below.

Some of her powers expend the Psionic Energy die they use, as specified in a power’s description, and she can’t use a power if it requires her to use a die when her dice are all expended. She regains all of her expended Psionic Energy dice when she finishes a long rest.

Psionic Strike. The bodyguard can propel her weapons with psionic force. Once on each of her turns, immediately after she hit a target within 30 feet of her with an attack and dealt damage to it with a weapon, she can expend one Psionic Energy die, rolling it and dealing force damage to the target equal to the number rolled.

Telekinetic Movement. The bodyguard can move an object or a creature with her mind. As an action, she targets one loose object that is Large or smaller or one willing creature, other than herself. If she can see the target and it is within 30 feet of her, she can move it up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space she can see. Alternatively, if it is a Tiny object, she can move it to or from her hand. Either way, she can move the target horizontally, vertically, or both. Once she takes this action, she can’t do so again until she finishes a short or long rest, unless she expend a Psionic Energy die to take it again.

Actions

Extra Attack. Attacks twice, instead of once, whenever taking the Attack action.

Action Melee Attack. Longsword: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 3) slashing damage.

Action Ranged Attack. Light crossbow: +4 to hit, range 80/320 ft., 1 target. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 1) piercing damage.

Bonus Actions

Psionic Power Regeneration. can regain one expended Psionic Energy die, but can’t do so again until she finishes a short or long rest.

Second Wind. The bodyguard has a limited well of stamina that she can draw on to protect herself from harm. On her turn, she can use a bonus action to regain hit points equal to 1d10 +5. Once she uses this feature, she must finish a short or long rest before she can use it again.

Possessions. Breastplate, shield, longsword, light crossbow, masterwork manacles

Reactions

Protection. When a creature the bodyguard can see attacks a target other than her that is within 5 feet of her, she can use her reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack roll. She must be wielding a shield.

Protective Field. When the bodyguard or another creature she can see within 30 feet of her takes damage, she can use her reaction to expend one Psionic Energy die, roll the die, and reduce the damage taken by the number rolled, as she creates a momentary shield of telekinetic force.
