Dumpling Form. As an action, Bao can transform himself into a dumpling humanoid. While in this form, he can still attack with his fists and gains the following benefits:
- Resistance to all damage
- Walking speed of 50ft. and does not provoke opportunity attacks
- Darkvision out to 60ft.
- Advantage on stealth checks (from not making any noise while walking)
- Can squeeze through spaces down to 3 inches width
Spellcasting. Bao is a 12th-level spellcaster. He can conjure a dumpling out of thin air and use this dumpling as the spell source, either consuming it (for self spells) or throwing it at his target. His spellcasting ability is Dexterity (spell save DC 17, +9 to hit with spell attacks). Three times per short/long rest, he can use a 'Mighty Dumpling', a considerably larger dumpling that can cast much more powerful spells:
Basic dumplings (at will): dancing lights, friends, mage hand, minor illusion, prestidigitation, vicious mockery
Mighty dumplings (3 slots): banishment, bigby's hand, dominate person, dimension door, fly, greater invisibility, hold monster, misty step, negative energy flood, seeming, summon elemental, wall of fire
Multi-Attack: (Human Form) Bao can either throw 3 dumplings or can cast a spell. When throwing a dumpling, he can choose for it to be a dumpling (dealing bludgeoning damage), a soup dumpling (dealing fire damage), or a frozen dumpling (dealing cold damage).
Dumpling. Ranged Weapon Attack: 9 to hit, range 30/90 ft., one target. Hit: 12 2d6+5 bludgeoning/fire/cold damage.
Sharpshooter. On Bao's attacks with his dumplings, he can choose to throw them much harder. They receive a -5 penalty to hit, but if they hit, they get +10 to damage. In addition, Bao ignores half and 3/4 cover when throwing dumplings to hit.
Multi-Attack: (Dumpling Form) While transformed into dumpling form, Bao can still attack three times using his fists. He is weaker in this form, and cannot cast spells, but also takes much less damage.
Fist. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d5+4) bludgeoning damage.
Dumpling Escape (Once per encounter). In response to taking damage while in his human form, Bao turns into a small dumpling and rolls up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space it can see without provoking opportunity attacks, and then reverts back into his human form.
