Inate Spellcasting. The Apex Form's spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 18). The Apex Form can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
At will: detect magic, fireball
3/day each: hold monster, wall of fire
Multiattack. The Apex Form makes four attacks: one for each of its arms.
Unarmed Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., 1 target. Hit: 18 (2d8 + 10) bludgeoning damage plus 18 (2d8+10) force damage.
Double Clap. The Apex Form claps all four of its hands together and creates a shock wave in a 20 ft. cone in front of itself. Each creature in that area must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 9 (3d6) force damage and is deafened for 1 minute. The creature is also shoved 15 ft. away from the Apex Form. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage, is not damaged, and does not move.
Full Body Protection. When a creature makes a weapon attack against the Apex Form, it can use its reaction to cover all its vital spots with its wings and arms, halfing the damage of the attack. This action can be taken after the attack hits but before the damage is determined.
The Apex Form can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. The Apex Form regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Unarmed Strike (Costs 1 Action). The Apex form can make 1 unarmed strike against a creature within range.
Escape to the Sky (Costs 2 Actions). The Apex Form can take the disengage action and move up to its maximum flight speed.
