Description

The basic golem is a wizard construct companion which can be crafted after they gain the feat; "Golem Craft" which contains the knowledge of how to create golems, a regular wizard is unable to maintain the magical and mental strain of having multiple crafted golems at any one given time, with only a few Archwizards being known to have successfully upkeeped multiple golems. The basic golem itself is a wizards crafted companion, made through an 8 hour ritual with 300gp of a chosen material, One gemstone worth 100gp and three metal ingots. The ritual in which the golem is created consists of the cores creation using the gemstone and ingots, magically shaping and weaving them together to create the internal engine/soul of the golem, the second half of the ritual is spent by taking the 300gp of material and shaping it into a humanoid/beastial form *regardless of form the speed is unchanged*.

Modification/Augmentation in quote:

"All known wizards to have made a golem have in some way modified or augmented their golems how they saw fit, it apparently takes a 4 hour ritual of either augmenting the core or modifying the golems body/frame. The recorded ways a Basic Golem can be modified are: Size Increase, Size Decrease and Stat Increase, The size increase/decrease cap are the sizes Small and Huge, while the stat increase caps at 20, apparently all the wizard needs is fifty gold pieces worth of the same construction materials. Augmenting a basic golems core is quite tricky as it requires a gemstone worth at least one hundred gold pieces, the outcome is recorded as... an... influx of power???... Either way its written that augmenting can have the following effects: A new special trait,  an new action, new damage resistances which can later be turned into immunity with a gemstone worth 1000gp, an engine running capacity increase?... oh it means speed of movement, an extra hit die??... oook, and one extra damage die on an action of the wizards choosing.........., well I don't know what any of this is but I hope you found it useful" -Alphonso, Ancient text historian
