Shapechanger. The Well Monster can use its action to polymorph into an object or back into its true, amorphous form. Its statistics are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn't transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies.
Adhesive (Object Form Only). The Well Monster adheres to anything that touches it. A Huge or smaller creature adhered to the mimic is also grappled by it (escape DC 16). Ability checks made to escape this grapple have disadvantage.
False Appearance (Object Form Only). While the Well Monster remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from an ordinary object.
Grappler. The Well Monster has advantage on attack rolls against any creature grappled by it.
Swallow. The Well Monster makes one bite attack against a Medium or smaller target it is grappling. If the attack hits, the target is also swallowed, and the grapple ends. While swallowed, the target is blinded and restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects outside the Well Monster, and it takes 21 (6d6) acid damage at the start of each of the Well Monster's turns. A Well Monster can have only one creature swallowed at a time.
If the Well Monster takes 30 damage or more on a single turn from the swallowed creature, the Well Monster must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw at the end of that turn or regurgitate the creature, which falls prone in a space within 10 feet of the Well Monster. If the Well Monster dies, a swallowed creature is no longer restrained by it and can escape from the corpse by using 15 feet of movement, exiting prone.
Multiattack. The Well Monster makes two attacks; one with it's Pseudopod and one to Bite.
Pseudopod. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (3d8 + 5) bludgeoning damage. If the Well Monster is in object form, the target is subjected to its Adhesive trait.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 23 (3d10 + 5) piercing damage plus 4 (1d8) acid damage.
