Traits

Magic Resistance. The weave walker has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Innate Spellcasting. The weave walker’s innate spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 15). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no components:

At will: misty step, blink

1/day each: etherealness, plane shift (self only)

Additional (see Magic Drain): healing word, shield, magic missile, detect thoughts, counterspell, lightning bolt (these spells can be cast without material components)

Actions

Weave Spike. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one creature. Hit: 15 (2d10 + 4) force damage. If the target is Medium or smaller, it is grappled (escape DC 15) and must succeed on a DC 15 Charisma saving throw or be stunned until this grapple ends.

Magic Drain. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one incapacitated humanoid grappled by the weave walker. Hit: The target takes 28 (5d10) psychic damage. If the target has any spell slots left it must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save the target loses a spell slot of their lowest remaining level. The weave walker gains that spell slot.

Description

Weave walkers are former humanoids of different species who have lost their mind to the weave. They appear as the form of their former self, whatever that may have been, but with glowing eyes and a halo-like aura around them. It is unknown how their souls touched the weave, but most had been bards or sorcerers in their former life. They now wonder different planes, feeding on magic wielders.

While they are closely connected to the weave, their bodies remain mortal hosts. They age normally.
