Seeking Flight. As a bonus action, the sallow can move up to half its flying speed toward a hostile creature that it can see. when it does so and makes a successful attack the sallow gains an extra 3 (1d6) piercing damage.

Swarm. The swarm can occupy another creature's space and vice versa, and the swarm can move through any opening large enough for a Tiny Sallow. The swarm can't regain hit points or gain temporary hit points.

Actions

Beak. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d8) piercing damage or 5 (1d8) piercing damage.

Swarm of Arrows (recharge 6). while the Sallow swarm is above half hit points it can use this action. The swarm rushes forth at great speed, every creature within a 30 foot line must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw or take 13 (3d8){"diceNotation":"3d8","rollAction":"Swarm of Arrows","rollDamageType":"piercing"}piercing damage. on a successful saving throw, a creature takes half. at the end of this action, the swarm appears where the line ends. when this is used it doesn't provoke attacks of opportunity until it has returned to its swarm form.

Description

The arrow-headed sallow, once a community of such creatures is big enough they will eventually begin to move in greater numbers to protect themselves. when they begin this process the swarm moves in random, and usually can at times force itself to almost act like the ranger spell Conjure Barrage though in a more focused sense of a pure line of arrows headed towards a signal target.

The arrow-headed sallow is a tiny bird that usually lives in abandoned beehives, along with a large and massive family. these birds when their nest is discovered and disturbed will fly to the aid of its own kind along with piercing into the flesh and bones of said would-be attackers. usually, these birds have a mix of more steel-like grey feathering, with almost near blood-red fringes on the end of their feathers. sometimes these sallows may even form into large mass-like swarms in the hopes of protecting a greater nest.
