Traits

Regeneration. Volenta regains 15 hit points at the start of its turn if she has at least 1 hit point and isn't in sunlight or running water. If Volenta takes radiant damage or damage from holy water, this trait doesn't function at the start of her next turn. If Volenta is reduced to 0 hp, she turns into a mist which returns to her coffin.

Spider Climb. Volenta can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.

Vampire Weaknesses. Volenta has the following flaws:

Forbiddance. Volenta can't enter a residence without an invitation from one of the occupants.

Harmed by Running Water. Volenta takes 20 acid damage when it ends its turn in running water.

Stake to the Heart. Volenta is destroyed if a piercing weapon made of wood is driven into its heart while it is incapacitated in its resting place.

Sunlight Hypersensitivity. Volenta takes 20 radiant damage when it starts its turn in sunlight. While in sunlight, it has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks.

Rougish Speed. The vampire can disengage, dash and hide as a bonus action. Any attack made on a target within 5 feet of an ally, or with advantage does an extra 7(2d6) piercing sneak attack damage, this damage can only be applied once per turn.

Innate Spellcasting. Volenta can cast prepared spells, using her Intelligence as her spellcasting modifier (DC 16).

(3/day) Invisibillity, Misty Step

Actions

Multiattack. Volenta makes two attacks, only one of which can be a bite attack or a paralysing strike.

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 13 (3d4 + 4) slashing damage. Instead of dealing damage, the vampire can grapple the target (escape DC 13).

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one willing creature, or a creature that is grappled by the vampire, incapacitated, or restrained. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) piercing damage plus 7 (2d6) necrotic damage. The target's hit point maximum is reduced by an amount equal to the necrotic damage taken, and the vampire regains hit points equal to that amount. The reduction lasts until the target finishes a long rest. The target dies if this effect reduces its hit point maximum to 0.

Paralysing Dart Strike. Ranged Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, range 30/60ft. Hit: 13 (3d4 +4) piercing damage plus 7 (2d6) poison damage. The target must make a DC16 CON saving throw or be paralysed for 1 minute. The target may retake the save at the end of each of their turns. A target that has succeeded the save has advantage on the save for the next hour.

Reactions

Pocket Sand: If an enemy moves within 5 ft of her, Volenta throws sand in their eyes to blind them. The target must suceed on a DC15 Dexterity save or be blinded untill the end of their turn.

Description

Volenta Popofsky is one of Strahd's many brides, a previous spouse who could never fill the void that Tatiana left. Volenta is always seen in a brown dress with a white porcelain mask and is known for being a immature sadist.

When Strahd wakes from his hibernation, as he has done many a time before, Volenta wakes with the other brides to work on a project. This time, she is interested in the forest people near Yester Hill, as well as the Gulthias Tree.
