Adamantine Construction. Any critical hit against the angel becomes a normal hit. In addition, the angel's weapon attacks ignore resistance to force damage.
Celestial Nature. Whenever the angel is subjected to radiant or necrotic damage, it takes no damage and instead regains a number of hit points equal to the radiant or necrotic damage dealt.
Evasive Maneuvers. If the angel has used any of its flying speed on its previous turn, then if it is subjected to an effect that allows it to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, it instead takes no damage if it succeeds on the saving throw, and only half damage if it fails. This feature ceases to function at the start of the angel's next turn.
Flyby. The angel doesn't provoke opportunity attacks when it flies out of an enemy's reach.
Innate Spellcasting. The angel's innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 22). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
At will: counterspell, detect evil and good, dispel magic, guidance, spare the dying, thaumaturgy, zone of truth
3/day each: banishment, dispel evil and good, hold person, shield of faith, silence
1/day each: divine word, harm, heal, mass cure wounds, word of recall
Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the angel fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
Limited Magic Immunity. The angel can't be affected or detected by spells of 2nd level or lower unless it wishes to be. It has advantage on saving throws against all other spells and magical effects.
Magic Weapons. The angel's weapon attacks are magical.
Objective Indominability. The angel is immune to any spell or magical effect that would alter its form. The angel is also immune to any spell or effect that would change its location or transport them elsewhere unwillingly, meaning that it cannot be banished, teleported, or forced into another plane of existence.
Glimpse into the Beyond. The angel scores a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20. If the angel scores a critical hit against a creature, the creature temporarily dies. if a creature is slain in this manner, its spirit is transferred outside of its body and into the Ethereal Plane. While in this state, the creature can see minor glimpses of its afterlife but cannot move, speak, or interact with anything. At the end of the creature's next turn, its spirit returns to its body and is resurrected with the same amount of hit points that it had at the start of the turn that the angel hit it. This traumatic experience causes the creature to suffer 5d8 psychic damage immediately upon its resurrection.
Regeneration. The angel regains 25 hit points at the start of its turn. If the angel is incapacitated or paralyzed, this trait doesn't function until the end of the angel's next turn.
Multiattack. The angel makes three attacks with its blade and one with its aether gun.
Blade. Melee Weapon Attack: +16 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 25 (3d10 + 10) slashing damage plus 12 (4d6) force damage.
Aether Gun. Ranged Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, range 300/800 ft., one to five targets. Hit: 19 (6d4 + 7) force damage.
Antilife Railgun. Ranged Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, range 400/1000 ft., one target. Hit: 52 (8d8 + 20) necrotic damage.
Beam of Disruption (6/day). The angel releases a magical ray of negative energy light in an 80-foot line from its energy core. Each creature in that area must make a DC 22 Charisma saving throw. On a failed save, a creature suffers one of the following effects at random:
- Will Drain. The creature suddenly loses the will to live and becomes an empty shell of its previous self. This extreme state of depression and disassociation causes the creature to overcome the instinctual desire to survive as it gives into a hunger for eternal rest. The creature takes 5d10 psychic damage and suffers five levels of exhaustion. The effects and levels of exhaustion caused by the beam end at the start of the angel's next turn.
- Pain and Agony. The creature suffers immense amounts of pain throughout its entire body. It is forced to scream and cry in agony if it can and it drops prone, convulsing and spasming on the spot. The creature has disadvantage on attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws, and if the creature attempts to cast a spell, it must first succeed on a DC 22 Constitution check, or the casting fails and the spell is wasted. The effects and pain caused by the beam end at the start of the angel's next turn.
- Paralyzing Dread. The creature becomes mortally terrified of the angel. The creature becomes both frightened and paralyzed. The effects and fear caused by the beam end at the start of the angel's next turn.
- Extraction of Physicality. The creature's Strength score is reduced by 2d6. If the creature's Strength score is reduced to 0, it becomes incapacitated. Additionally, the creature's hit point maximum is reduced by 10d12. The effects, Strength score reduction, and hit point maximum reduction caused by the beam end at the start of the angel's next turn.
Persistent Hunter. When the angel makes an opportunity attack against a creature with its blade, it can make two additional blade attacks against the same creature as part of the same reaction. In addition, immediately after the creature the angel made an attack of opportunity against ends its turn, the angel can move up to its flying speed toward the creature.
The angel can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. The angel regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Accelerator Activation. The angel moves up to its flying speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
Blade. The angel makes one attack with its blade.
Antilife Railgun Attack (Costs 2 Actions). The angel makes an attack with its antimatter railgun.
Description
These creatures, created by Karma herself, are the best at what they do: killing. However, because of the nature of their creature, these angels only slay and feed on the wicked and corrupt of heart while protecting the virtuous and innocent. Despite their titles, Angels of Death are not mindless, genocidal machines. They have sentience, emotion, personality, and even names. Although they are a malefactor's worst nightmare, they are, in essence, a protector of the virtues of the world.
Agents of Karma. An Angel of Death's main purpose is to hunt down a particular source of "disruption of fate" that they are sent to destroy. They arrive at their designated location, their "hunting grounds," via a meteor that is sent by the spirit of Karma when she feels a disturbance of her balance or believes that her presence and authority have been offended. In such cases, a predestined meteor will strike where the source of the disruption is detected, and emerging from within will be a squadron of the angels. The angels will then proceed to seek out their objective and complete their mission through nearly any means necessary. Upon accomplishment of their objective, they will be teleported back to their home plane.
Protectors of Good, Destroyers of Evil. While they are completing their objective, the angels show violent hostility to all those that they see who have committed many sins in their lives and have yet to pay the price. However, they will reward those with honest souls and who deserve reimbursement with kindness, protection, friendship, and even labor. They are given this sentience to understand the difference between good and evil, to build hatred towards the wicked and empathy towards the innocent, driving them to accomplish their objective for the sake of their own personal values. This makes their missions personally important to them, helping them stay determined to see it through.
Sentience. Angels of Death are sentient, kindhearted, personality-filled creatures that have relationships among themselves and wish to form more with others. They each have their own interests, desires, and personal goals. Their individuality may even affect the manner in which they accomplish their designated mission. However, one thing all Angels of Death have in common is that they love to feed on evil creatures, who they find to be appetizing delicacies.
All we saw was a single meteor strike the center of our recently conquered village. Curious, we all gathered in the middle of town to see a white, crsyalline meteorite embedded in the ground, still smoking. The dictorial noble that had had taken over quickly arrived to inspect the strang rock. He had several garuds with him who forced us all to pull away from the crash site. The noble approached and inspected the meteorite. After about five minutes of observation, he was about to call some miners over to come harvest the ore in hopes of making a profit, but that's when the meteor exploded from the inside out, sending the noble flying backwards on his back along with the guards and the villagers, myself included. Seven humanoid figures burst out of the meteor, each one with sharp, wing-like features on their backs, and strange weapons that I didn't recognize. We all stared in awe, and when the noble finally asked what they were, one the them flew down to him with lightning speed, grabbed him by the neck and lifted him off his feet. We watched in horror as the creature simply squeezed on his neck and ended up decapitating him. And then... it began eating his flesh off his bones. The guards, once stunned in silence began firing their crossbows at the the creatures but all of their bolts seemed ineffective. We watched as each of the gaurds died a similarly gruesome death as the noble as the creatures sliced them open, and shot them down with their cannon-like artillery. It was a bloodbath. When they were finished, they looked around at us, and we all thought we were next. One of the creatures suddenly flew towards and landed right in front of me. It raised its bladed arm above its head, and I braced for death, but when I opened my eyes, I found its hand extended towards me. I looked up to see the creature's smiling face. She looked at me and said, "Here! I'll help you up!"
