Dark Devotion. The Aven Mindcensor has advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.
Split Enchantment. When the Aven Mindcensor casts an enchantment spell of 1st level or higher that targets only one creature, it may have it target a second creature.
Spellcasting. The Aven Mindcensor is a 10th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Intelligence (spell save DC 14, +6 to hit with spell attacks). The Aven Mindcensor has following Wizard spells prepared:
Cantrips (at will): blade ward, friends, mage hand, mind sliver(2d6)
1st level (4 slots): charm person*, cause fear, magic missile, mage armor
2nd level (3 slots): detect thoughts, hold person*, mind spike, suggestion*
3rd level (3 slots): blink, counterspell, lightning bolt
4th level (3 slots): confusion*, locate creature
5th level (2 slots): dominate person*, modify memory*

Multiattack. The Aven Mindcensor casts a cantrip and makes one Bladed Staff attack.
+1 Bladed Staff. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d6 + 1) slashing damage, plus 7 (2d6) radiant damage. On a critical hit, if the target is a humanoid, it is grappled (DC 13), and the mind censor can't attack other creatures with the staff.
Instinctive Charm (Recharges after the Aven Mindcensor Casts an Enchantment Spell for 1st Level or Higher). The Aven Mindcensor tries to divert an attack made against it by a creature it can see within 30 ft. This reaction must be used before the attack hits or misses. a creature immune to being charmed succeeds automatically.
The attacker must make DC 14 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, it instead attacks the creature closest to it other than the mindcensor or itself. if multiple creatures are closest, they choose which to attack.
