Multiplanar Form. Auliel exists in both the Prime Material Plane and the Astral Plane simultaneously. Her form seems to ripple and shift as various parts of her dissappear into or emerge from the Astral Plane. This gives her the constant protection of a blur spell.
Multiattack. The dragon makes one Bite attack and two Claw attacks.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d10 + 3) piercing damage plus 4 (1d8) radiant damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) slashing damage.
Psionic Roar (Recharge 5–6). The dragon roars doing sonic and psychic damage in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw, taking 27 (6d8) radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. On a failed save the creature's soul is shoved from its body into the astral plane. It takes 1d6 rounds to find its way back.
Spellcasting (Psionics). The dragon casts one of the following spells, requiring no spell components and using Intelligence as the spellcasting ability (spell save DC 16):
At will: mind sliver, shield, crystal shard
1/day each: hold person, counterspell
Soul Sear. Using her reaction, when Auliel is targeted with an attack, she can force the attacker to empathically connect to every other creature within 120' of her. Until the beginning of her next turn that creature will take half of the damage of any attack targeting any creature to which they are linked as radiant damage, including Auliel. This lasts for 3 rounds. At the end of each of its turns the creature may make a DC 15 Wisdom save to stop the empathic effect.
Description
Auliel was born of both the darkness and the light. A rare hybrid dragon borne by a Crystal dragon and sired by a Black dragon, she has strange powers that seem to shift and grow as she ages. As a child she can already shift people's souls to the astral plane with her shattering roar, but what will she be capable of as she matures?
Inner Turmoil
She hatched from an egg pulsing with radiance and unseen energies. As she emerged, her form began to shift and fade in waves. Watching her fade in and out of existence is almost hypnotic and many scholars have begun studying the patterns of her shifts as auguries into the coming events of the multiverse.
Instant Imprint
Auliel imprinted instantly on the city in which she was hatched and has been a faithful protector of Delver's Dream since she gained sentience. All of its myriad inhabitants are like siblings to her and she will protect them unto her own death.
