Description

The warforged are a race of advanced humanoid constructs, distinguished from other constructs by their self-awareness and their full mental capacities. They think, feel and wonder, just as other humanoids do: the question of whether they possess souls, as the other mortal races do, is hotly debated among philosophers and sages.

It is not clear why somebody decided to put the arcane technology behind the creation of the warforged towards the purpose of creating what is effectively an animatronic bird. Nevertheless... it lives, it speaks (in repetetive, stolen phrases) and, in defiance of all probability, it just-about flies: a 1½ foot tall construction of metal, leather and fibers, its ‘feathers’ gaudily painted in scarlet, gold and ultramarine, with shiny brass beak and talons. Truly, this creature must be the nadir of the Artificer’s craft.
