Keen Sight. The roc has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.
Multiattack. The roc makes four attacks: two with its beak and two with its talons.
Beak. Melee Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 27 (4d8 + 10) piercing damage.
Talons. Melee Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 23 (4d6 + 10) slashing damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 19). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the roc can't use its talons on another target.

Any creature that can hear within 300 ft. of the Ancient Roc must pass a DC 14 WIS saving throw. On a failure, the creature is Frightened until the end of their next turn. If a creature fails the save by five or more, they are Paralyzed with fear until the end of their next turn.
Lair and Lair Actions
Strewn with bones, carcasses, and offal from her hunts, the Ancient Roc's nest is a macabre but secure home for her egg(s) or young. The nest is built in a dizzyingly high altitude, extremely remote place. If a site of recent settlement, the nest and its environs are soon depopulated by the mighty bird's voracious appetite and brutal temper.
Rocky Eyrie. In her nest, the Ancient Roc may use the escarpments above to rain boulders upon intruders. Once per turn, the Ancient Roc flaps her wings at the stony cliffside, causing a small avalanche. Creatures within a fifteen foot radius in the nest make a DEX saving throw of DC 15, taking 5d10+8 bludgeoning damage on a failure or half that on a success.
Slippery Center. The concentrated guano and remnants of grisly feasts makes difficult terrain of a thirty foot radius around the central nest where egg(s) or chicks might rest.
Angry Mama. The Ancient Roc gets one opportunity attack against any creature upon their entering a radius within thirty feet of her egg(s) or young.
