Traits

Regeneration: The Host regains 10 hit points at the start of its turn. If the Host takes fire damage, this trait doesn't function at the start of it's next turn. The Amaranthine-Deceptor Larvae Host dies only if it starts its turn with 0 hit points and doesn't regenerate.

Desinfest: The Larvae inside the Host is destroyed if the Host is targeted by a Heal , Heroe's Feast ,Mass Heal , Wish spell or a similar magic item effect and the Host is no longer under the control of the larvae. It's stats changes to the humanoid/fey it was before but it is unconscious and has 5 level of exhaustion. It is also blinded and it's Intelligence Score is set to 2 until cured by a Regenerate or Wish spell.

Actions

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d8 + 1) bludgeoning damage.

Reactions

Survival Instinct (1/Day): After the Amaranthine-Deceptor Larvae Host hears or sense a total of 2 Amaranthine-Deceptor and/or 1 Host die, it can choose to emerge 1 Amaranthine-Deceptor as a reaction.

Description

After being inplanted by an Amaranthine-Deceptor ,the larvae will slowly start to consume their just barely living host from the inside and multiply rapidly. Once the head is invaded after 24 hours the host becomes a food source for the larvae for as long as it lives and, occasionally, adult Amaranthine-Deceptors will enter through the host's mouth to feed the larvae and prolong their survival so more larvae can grow in the host.

The Larvea will use the Host to lure unsuspecting adventurers into a Field of Flowers, where the Adult Amaranthine-Deceptors are lurking and waiting to swarm the prey to produce more larvae. It has proven effective to let the Host, still capable of speaking a few simple words, whisper for help. Hoping any humanoid will fall for the awaiting ambush.

It's been said to be possible to rescue such a poor soul, who was infested with larvaes with certain spells. But the costs are greatly, since the larvae have already feasted on the brain and other tissue on the inside. Even without the larvaes, the Host is only a shadow of it's former self until it's grievly wounded body is regenerated
