Traits

Buried.  When an avalanche stops, the snow and other debris bury creatures.  A creature buried this way is blinded and restrained. and it has total cover.  The creature gains 1 level of exhaustion for every 5 minutes buried.  the creature can try to free itself by making a DC 15 strength (athletics) check.  A creature that fails 3 checks can no longer try to free itself.  If the avalanche consists mostly of snow the buried creature takes an additional [roll]4d6[/roll] of cold damage

Actions

Engulfed. Anyone caught in its space falls prone and begins to move with the avalanche and becomes engulfed.  Engulfed creatures must make a DC 15 strength saving throw, taking (1d10) [bludgeoning] damage on a failed save or half as much on a successful one. If the avalanche moves off of a sheer cliff anyone engulfed is also subjected to normal falling damage of1d6 bludgeoning per 10 feet fallen.

Description

A typical avalanche or rockslide is 300 feet wide, 150 feet long and 30 feet thick.  Creatures in the path of an avalanche can avoid it or escape it if they're close to the edge, but outrunning one is almost impossible.
