Traits

Illumination. The wanyudo sheds either dim light in a 15-foot radius, or bright light in a 15-foot radius and dim light for an additional 15 feet. It can switch between the options as an action.

Magic Resistance. The wanyudo has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Rejuvenation. If the wanyudo is destroyed, it regains all its hit points in 1 hour unless holy water is sprinkled on its remains or a dispel magic or remove curse spell is cast on them.

Fearful Gaze. The first time any living creature sees the wanyudo, the creature must make a wisdom saving throw. If a creature rolls 6 or lower, they fall unconscious. If they roll 10 or lower they are frightened of the wanyudo. If they beat any of the previous rolls, nothing happens to them, and they are immune to this ability.

Actions

Wrench. The wanyudo targets one creature that is within 30ft, that creature must make a strength saving throw (DC 11). If the creature fails, one of the creatures limbs is randomly broken. The target takes 9 (2d8) slashing damage and 2 (1d4) fire damage; the creature is also now bleeding. If a broken limb is subjected to this attack again, then it is completely ripped off. The arm is no longer broken when a creature heals all of its hit points. On a successful save they take half the damage.

Description

The wanyudo was once a tyrannous nobleman known for mistreating his subjects, who was assassinated during an ox-drawn tour of his city. His cruel and vengeful spirit, incapable of accepting it's death, returned as a flaming head embedded in the center of a wagon wheel. It is known to rip it's victims limb from limb as they try to escape it's fearful gaze.
