Traits

Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the bird fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Actions

Multiattack. The bird can do 3 attacks

Peck. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d10 + 5) piercing damage.

Wing Attack. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 5) Bludgeoning damage.

Screech (Recharge 5–6). The bird lets out a screech that distorts the air in an 60-foot line that is 5 feet wide. Each creature in that line must make a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw, taking 55 (10d10) thunder damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Description

This monstrosity looks like a feathered dragon with a beak. The feathers are generally very colorful although it can look like common birds. It makes its nests in the highest of mountains and fiercely protects its clutch of eggs. Due to it's hollow bones, like other birds, it doesn't take bludgeoning damage very well. Due to their beautiful feather patterns, rareness for humanoids to see, and dangerousness painters go through great pains (and finances) to find and paint one, sometimes hiring stealthy bodyguards.

Habitat: Mountain
