Traits

Hold Breath. The crocodile can hold its breath for 1 hour.
Legendary Resistance (2/Day). If the Gator fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Symbiotic relationship. In order to survive for so long the Gara Gator has managed to form a mutual relationship with leeches within their swamps, often nursing an entire colony within their mouths.
When the Gator makes a bite attack or leech flood attack, 2d10 leeches latch onto the creature. each leech does 1 damage at the end of the creature's round, as the leeches drain blood from the creature. these leeches can be removes with an action from the target.
Magic Weapons. this creatures' attacks count as magical
Siege Monster. This creature deals double damage against structures, constructs and objects.
Magic Resistance. The Gator has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Actions

Multiattack.  The gator makes 3 attacks: one with its bite and 2 with its claws or tail.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +16 to hit, reach 20 ft., one creature. Hit: 34 (4d12 + 10) piercing damage.. If the creature is Huge or smaller, they must make a dexterity saving throw of 24 or be swallowed.  A swallowed creature is blinded and restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects outside the gator, and it takes 26 (8d6) acid damage at the start of each of the gator's turns. This Acid damage is capable of bypassing immunity and treating it as resitance.

If the gator takes 50 damage or more on a single turn from a creature inside it, the gator must succeed on a DC 25 Constitution saving throw at the end of that turn or regurgitate all swallowed creatures, which fall prone in a space within 10 feet of the gator. If the gator dies, a swallowed creature is no longer restrained by it and can escape from the corpse by using 20 feet of movement, exiting prone.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack +16 to hit.
Reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 25 (3d10+10) Slashing Damage

Tail. Melee Weapon Attack +16 to hit.
reach 20 ft., one target. Hit: 25 (3d10 + 10) bludgeoning damage

Leech Flood. (recharge 5-6)
The Gator exhales a wave of saliva and leeches in a 90-foot line that is 15 feet wide. Each creature in that line must make a DC 22 Dexterity saving throw, taking 44 (8d10) acid damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. This acid treats immunity as resistance.

Legendary Actions

The Gator can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. The Gator regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Attack. The Gator makes one claw attack or tail attack.

Move. The Gator moves up to half its speed.

Frenzy (Costs 2 Actions). The Gator makes its multi-attack.

Description

Legendary even amongst the Gara gators, are the ancients, towering behemoths of armoured flesh, and keen intellect, rulers of the swamps they dwell within, and often commanding the denizens of the swamp to simply offer themselves as its next meal.
Delicacy.
The meat of an Ancient Gara Gator is a legendary commodity amongst the rich for its intense flavor often being likened to Ambrosia (the food of the gods), with a single pound of the meat able to sell for around 500 Gold Pieces.
Consuming the meat of an Ancient Gara Gator produces the same results as heros feast, however the hit point maximum gained for such a feast is 4d12+10 rather than 2d10, as well as having their strength increase to 27, with an additional benefit of immunity to nonmagical weapons attacks, as your body seemingly takes on the aspects of such a fierce beast...you are what you eat after all.

There is enough meat on such a creature to complete 50 feasts.

Regional effects.

The region containing an Ancient Gara Gators lair is warped by the gators presence which creates one or more of the following effects:

  • The land within 6 miles of the lair takes twice as long as normal to traverse, since the plants grow thick and twisted.
  • Once per day, the gator can alter the weather in a 6-mile radius centered on its lair. The gator doesn’t need to be outdoors; otherwise, the effect is identical to the control weather spell.
  • Whenever a creature with an Intelligence of 3 or higher comes within 30 feet of a water source within 1 mile of the gator’s lair, the gator becomes aware of the creature’s presence and location.

Lair and Lair Actions

Lair Actions

On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), the Ancient Gara gator takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects: the dragon can’t use the same effect two rounds in a round.

  • Pools of water that the gator can see within 120 feet of it surge outward in a grasping tide. Any creature on the ground within 20 feet of such a pool must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be pulled up to 20 feet into the water and knocked prone.
  • The gator roars a summons as 1d6 Giant crocodiles emerge from the nearest body of water.
  • Magical Fog spreads from a point the Gator chooses within 60 feet of it, filling a 15-foot-radius sphere until the gator dismisses it as an action, uses this lair action again, or dies. The darkness spreads around corners. A creature with darkvision can’t see through this fog, and nonmagical light can’t illuminate it. If any of the effect’s area overlaps with an area of light created by a spell of 2nd level or lower, the spell that created the light is dispelled.
