Spellcasting. The acolyte is a 1st-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 12, +4 to hit with spell attacks). The acolyte has following cleric spells prepared:
Cantrips (at will): acid splash, poison spray, thaumaturgy
1st level (3 slots): bane, hideous laughter, ray of sickness
Dagger. Melee Weapon Attack: +2 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2 (1d4) bludgeoning damage.
UNDYING. The Voice, as an extension of the Thorn-Shade-Mother, cannot truly die so long as the Mother lives. Whenever it dies, its body turns to mulch, and will be reborn from the fungal heart of the mother in a new but identical body. The process of rebirth takes 10 minutes.
DEATHBURST. If reduced to zero hit points, the Voice bursts in a plume of spores. All creatures within 10 ft. must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or gain a level of spore exposure.
EXHALE SPORES (RECHARGE 5-6). The Voice attempts to spread the infection of the Thorn-Shade-Mother by exhaling spores onto a creature it can see within 5 ft. The target suffers spore exposure
Description
Acolytes are junior members of a clergy, usually answerable to a priest. They perform a variety of functions in a temple and are granted minor spellcasting power by their deities.
