Additional Proficiency. Dragonchess Set
Position of Privilege. Thanks to Lam’s noble birth, people are inclined to think the best of them. Lam is welcome in high society, and people assume they have the right to be wherever they are. The common folk make every effort to accommodate Lam and avoid their displeasure, and other people of high birth treat them as a member of the same social sphere. Lam can secure an audience with a local noble if they need to.
Sneak Attack (1/Turn). Lam deals an extra 7 (2d6) damage when they hit a target with a weapon attack and have advantage on the attack roll, or when the target is within 5 feet of an ally of Lam’s that isn't incapacitated and Lam doesn't have disadvantage on the attack roll.
Multiattack. Lam makes two melee attacks.
Shortsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) piercing damage.
Hand Crossbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 30/120 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) piercing damage.
Shapechanger. Lam can change their appearance and voice. They determine the specifics of the changes, including coloration, hair length, and sex. Lam can also adjust their height and weight, but not so much that their size changes. They can make themself appear as a member of another race, though none of their game statistics change. Lam can’t duplicate the appearance of a creature they’ve never seen, and must adopt a form that has the same basic arrangement of limbs. Lam’s clothing and equipment aren’t changed.
Lam stays in the new form until they use an action to revert to their true form or until they die.
Description
Lam can shift their form with a thought, and has a fluid relationship with gender, seeing it as one characteristic to change among many. Lam’s ability is also an invaluable tool for a spy who wishes to deceive…. Rulers, nobles, merchants, guildmasters, and other wealthy individuals use spies like Lam to gain the upper hand in a world of cutthroat politics. Lam is trained to secretly gather information. Loyal spies like Lam would rather die than divulge information that could compromise them or their employers.
Lam understands wealth, power, and privilege. Their family carries a noble title and owns land, collects taxes, and wields significant political influence. However, Lam is so far down the line of inheritance that no one cares what they do, as long as they don’t embarrass the family.
