Dream Eater. If any humanoid creature sleeps within 30 feet of a baku, they will only have pleasant dreams as the baku feasts on their nightmares, removing them all from the creature's mind. However, if the same creature spends three or more consecutive nights sleeping near a baku, it will start to have its other dreams eaten as well, and will no longer gain any benefits from taking a long rest until they choose to sleep elsewhere.
Ethereal Jaunt. As a bonus action, the baku can magically shift from the Material Plane to the Ethereal Plane, or vice versa.
Keen Hearing and Smell. The baku has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.
Innate Spellcasting. The baku’s innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 13). It can innately cast the following spells:
3/day each: sleep
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d6 + 1) slashing damage.
Nightmare Vomit (Recharge 6). The baku vomits up the last nightmare it ate in the form of a black mist that covers a 15-ft cone. Any creature caught in the cone must make a DC 13 Wisdom save or take 2d6 necrotic damage, or half as much damage on a successful one.
