Amphibious. The Platinum Dragon can breathe air and water.
Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If The Platinum Dragon fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead.
Limited Magic Immunity. Unless he wishes to be affected, The Platinum Dragon is immune to spells of 6th level or lower and is completely immune to divine spells cast by good aligned characters. He has advantage on saving throws against all other spells and magical effects.
Magic Weapons. The Platinum Dragon’s weapon attacks are magical.
Regeneration. The Platinum Dragon regains 30 hit points at the start of his turn.
Radiant Regeneration. When The Platinum Dragon is affected by an effect that deals radiant damage, it heals that amount of hit points instead.
Celestial Aura. The Platinum Dragon embodies Celestia and exudes its energies around it. Any good aligned creature within 30 ft. of it gain the benefit of the bless spell. Any evil aligned creature that enters the 15 ft. radius area around it for the first time on its turn or starts its turn there must make a DC 27 Charisma Saving Throw. On a failure, it is affected by the bane spell.
Innate Spellcasting. The Platinum Dragon’s innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 28, +19 to hit with spell attacks). The Platinum Dragon can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
Actions
Breath Weapons (Recharge 5–6). The dragon uses one of the following breath weapons.
Divine Breath. The dragon exhales intense divine energy in a 60-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 25 Constitution saving throw, taking 72 (16d8) radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Weakening Breath. The dragon exhales weakening gas in a 90-foot cone. Each creature in that area must succeed on a DC 25 Strength saving throw or have disadvantage on Strength-based attack rolls, Strength checks, and Strength saving throws for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Paralyzing Breath. The dragon exhales paralyzing gas in a 60-foot cone. Each creature in that area must succeed on a DC 25 Constitution saving throw or be paralyzed for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Repulsion Breath. The dragon exhales repulsion energy in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must succeed on a DC 25 Strength saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is pushed 60 feet away from the dragon.
Slowing Breath. The dragon exhales gas in a 60-foot cone. Each creature in that area must succeed on a DC 25 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature can't use reactions, its speed is halved, and it can't make more than one attack on its turn. In addition, the creature can use either an action or a bonus action on its turn, but not both. These effects last for 1 minute. The creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself with a successful save.
Multiattack. The Platinum Dragon can use his Frightful Presence. He then makes four attacks: one with his bite, two with his claws, and one with his tail.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +17 to hit, reach 20 ft., one target. Hit: 30 (4d10 + 8) piercing damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +17 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 22 (4d6 + 8) slashing damage.
Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +17 to hit, reach 25 ft., one target. Hit: 26 (4d8 + 8) piercing damage.
Frightful Presence. Each creature of The Platinum Dragon’s choice that is within 240 feet of The Platinum Dragon and aware of him must succeed on a DC 28 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature’s saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to The Platinum Dragon’s Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.
Reactions

Stages

These sections describe changes to the stat block dependent on how damaged The Platinum Dragon becomes during combat. Effects are cumulative except for the first one.
Healthy. At 75% hit points or above, The Platinum Dragon acts as normal.
Hurt. When The Platinum Dragon’s hit points drop below 75%, it immediately takes the Frightful Presence action, ignoring previously gained immunity to its Frightful Presence.
Bleeding. Under 50% hit points, The Platinum Dragon’s becomes enraged and its Breath Weapons recharge on 4-6.
Dying. Under 25% hit points, The Platinum Dragon gains the trait Glimpses of Celestia.
  • Glimpses of Celestia: Any creature hitting The Platinum Dragon with an attack that deals damage of a type other than Bludgeoning or Thunder and is within 30 feet of it is hit by divine light pouring out of it as its skin is pierced. The creature must make a DC 25 Constitution Saving Throw, taking 21 (6d6) radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Killed. When The Platinum Dragon is dead, all light and life is snuffed from the immediate area. The area in a 1 mile radius around the corpse becomes magically dim and lightly obscured. Abilities that allow sight through magical darkness are also effected. Everything turns to shades of grey like in Darkvision. All non-magical plants die instantly. All living creatures within 50 feet around the corpse must make a DC 25 Constitution saving throw, taking 55 (10d10) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The damage is reduced by 6 (1d10) for each additional 50 feet further away. Creatures beyond 500 feet just feel a shiver of intense cold and grief. The Platinum Dragon reforms in the Celestial Mountain some time later. When it does, the magical dimness disappears.
Legendary Actions
The Platinum Dragon can take 5 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. The Platinum Dragon regains spent legendary actions at the start of his turn.
Detect. The Platinum Dragon makes a Wisdom (Perception) check.
Bite. The Platinum Dragon makes a bite attack.
Tail Attack. The Platinum Dragon makes a tail attack.
Wing Attack (Costs 2 Actions). The Platinum Dragon beats its wings. Each creature within 25 feet of the dragon must succeed on a DC 25 Strength saving throw or take 23 (4d6 + 8) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. The dragon can then fly up to half its flying speed.
Breath Weapon (Costs 3 Actions). The Platinum Dragon immediately recharges and uses one Breath Weapon option.
Spellcasting (Costs 3 Actions). The Platinum Dragon casts one of its innate spells.

Description

The Platinum Dragon is the god of metallic dragons, wisdom, justice and law. He is the pinnacle example of the good exotic winged reptiles.

In his dragon form, he is a massive dragon covered in tough platinum scales measuring 180 feet in length with a tail just as long. His eye colour depends on his mood but is usually deep blue.
Half Human. The Platinum Dragon spends half his time walking the material plane in human shape. He mostly observes rather than interfere but, if spited, he goes out of his way to punish the offender and teach them a lesson. Killing is almost never on his plate.
Ultimate Hoarder. The Platinum Dragon keeps his own hoard of gold and gems but his greatest treasure and what he seeks most of all is knowledge and wisdom. However, if anyone steals from him, there is almost nowhere for them to hide. And those places are less pleasant than his wrath.

Lair and Lair Actions

The Platinum Dragon’s lair is a castle in one of the heavens of the Celestial Mountain. Its walls is said to be made of pure mithral, reflecting light at all angles. Its windows are sheer planes of gemstone, inlaid with silver and gold. While he resides at his castle, it is guarded and patrolled by his entourage of seven gold dragons. It is also said that The Platinum Dragon can move his castle inside the Celestial Mountain at will making it a preferred travel method by sum.
If he were to create a lair on the Material Plane, it would be on the tallest of mountains, preferably in the snowy peaks, using gifts by worshipers to rebuild his gem-encrusted mithral castle, in some scale.

Lair Actions

On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), The Platinum Dragon takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; The Platinum Dragon can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:
  • Ultimate Wisdom. The Platinum Dragon glimpses the future, so it has advantage on attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws until initiative count 20 on the next round.
  • Benevolent Banishment. One creature The Platinum Dragon can see within 120 feet of it must succeed on a contested Charisma check with The Platinum Dragon or be banished to the top of the infinite Celestial Mountain. To escape, the creature must use its action to make a Charisma check contested by The Platinum Dragon’s. If the creature wins, it escapes. Otherwise, the effect ends on initiative count 20 on the next round. When the effect ends, the creature reappears in the space it left or in the nearest unoccupied space if that one is occupied and they are incapacitated until the beginning of their next turn.
  • Hail of Canaries. The Platinum Dragon’s swarm of golden dragons strike out against up to 7 targets of its choice within 120 ft. Each target must succeed on a DC 27 Wisdom Saving Throw or take 7 (2d6) piercing damage and have disadvantage on their next attack, ability check or saving throw (whichever is first).
  • Cold Shroud. A cloud of vapour appears as if The Platinum Dragon has cast fog cloud. Any creature that enters the cloud for the first time on their turn or starts their turn there, must succeed on a DC 27 Constitution saving throw or take 11 (2d10) cold damage. Any non-magical flame in the cloud is extinguished.

Regional Effects

The region around a god like The Platinum Dragon is warped by the dragon’s magic, which creates one or more of the following effects:
  • Gems and pearls within 1 mile of The Platinum Dragon’s lair sparkle and gleam, shedding dim light in a 5-foot radius.
  • Small forest birds within 6 miles of The Platinum Dragon’s lair gain a pearlescent hue and their singing takes on a chorus like quality.
  • Winds within 1 mile of The Platinum Dragon’s lair respond to his wishes, knocking evil flying creatures out of the air. Non-evil flying creatures are forced down more gently and take no falling damage.
  • Tracks appear in the sand within 6 miles of the dragon’s lair. The tracks lead to safe shelters and hidden water sources, while also leading away from areas that The Platinum Dragon prefers to remain undisturbed.
If The Platinum Dragon dies, these effects fade out over the course of 1d12 days.
