Beast of Burden: The Aptonoth is considered to be a medium sized animal for the purpose of determining its carrying capacity.
Commanding Honk: There is a low chance of this creature making a loud honking noise with their crest. When it does, it can call over other members of their herd, or even other herbivorous monsters in the area. However, this also can have a really low chance of calling in a larger threat.
Action Melee Attack. Tail Smack: +13 to hit, reach 5 ft., 2 targets, Hit: 1 (1d6 + 3) blunt damage.
Action Melee Attack. headbutt: +7 to hit, reach 3 ft., 1 target, Hit: 1 (1d6 + 3) blunt damage.
Run away: When a large monster appears to hunt it, usually aptonoth run away almost immediately, even if they were in a fight. However, if a aptonoth is injured enough, the large monster will be able to catch and eat it. You can use this as a advantage too, attacking a large monster while it is distracted by a fresh meal.
Heavy Load: This action allows the aptonoth to carry up to 300 weight upon their backs with no affects on it's speed, 500 weight can go on it's back maximum, but it would really slow down the monster. This action is only available for domesticated aptonoth.
Happy groans: This reaction occurs when you do anything peaceful for a aptonoth, such as feed them a treat or give them scratches. Both domestic and wild aptonoth act the same way, and make them happy enough, they will protect you from a larger threat as a herd.. or you can have a beginning attack of a backstab, causing 10 Dmg to the monster.
Description
In general: This large, chunky herbivore of a monster are very very common in most areas of the world, living in herds that can go up to 100 in numbers. These parasaur-like dinosaurs are pretty peaceful and usually tend to not combat anything, trying to run away from the threat instead. However, the males do try to defend their herds if disturbed.. not that it helps much due to their soft bodies.
Domestication: However, even with wild aptonoth, these creatures are not hard to domesticate in the slightest! Just have a few buckets of carrots or blue mushrooms, and bond with em by getting through their appetite! Once you bond with them, they become amazing pack animals who can carry a lot of weight on their back, perfect for journeying across the land for a hunt!
