Keen Smell. The bandersnatch has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.
Pounce. If the bandsnatch moves at least 20 feet straight toward a creature and then hits it with a claw attack on the same turn, that target must succeed on a DC 14 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, the bandersnatch can make one bite attack against it as a bonus action.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d10 + 5) piercing damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 5) slashing damage.
Description
This beast looks like a gigantic wild cat. Almost like a mountain lion. Standing 8 to 10 feet tall at the shoulder, their coats range from light to deep midnight blue, with stripes in various shades of blue as well. Some can grow manes. The older the bandersnatch, the darker their coat and the more sentient they become.
Bandersnatches are pack animals, but only outside of hunting. When hunting alone, if encountering something it believes is too dangerous for it, it will emit a high pitched, whining chirp that will bring its pack to it, thereby adding more bandersnatches to the fray.
