Iron Shell: These creatures have a special shell that helps prevent damage from low quality weapon attacks, usually orange sharpness or lower. Any sharpness yellow or above can still do damage however.
Traveling Forge: If you domesticate a Apceros however, you can have them come along with you as a traveling companion! Not only that though, their immunity for heat allows them to carry mini-forges upon their backs! These forges can't craft anything out of monster materials, but they can certainly make bone and ore related weapons.
Apceros Rally: This action is very unique, as if three or more apceros are around in a central party, they will form a defensive circle with their tails raised in the air. This prevents them from moving, but raises their defense as a whole.
Tail whip: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., 2 target. Hit: 1d6 + 4 Stabbing damage.
Headbutt: +5 to hit, reach 3 ft., 1 target, Hit: 1d6 + 3 blunt damage.
Portable forge: Due to these monster's heat resistance, you can craft a forge upon their backs to make weapons and armor! However, you can only make weapons out of bones and ore, any weapons or monsters that need monster materials to create end up becoming really low quality.
Intimidation: This reaction usually occurs when they are first encountered or see a threat, crouching down on their front legs and waving their tails in the air. If you get too close, they will attack, but they are also a very good sign that something you cannot sense is in the area.
Description
These large, ankylosaur like monsters are not as widespread as aptonoth, usually only found in volcanic or desert environments. They have a natural heat immunity, and live in tightly knit family groups. However, these herbivores have a nasty temper similar to that of a rhenoplos, and instead of running like a aptonoth, they stay and fight. Doesn't mean they are any sturdier than a standard aptonoth however. Not many people domesticate these herbivores due to their temper, However, some wanderers have apceros they have raised from young, acting as wandering blacksmiths with their partners.
