Blood Frenzy. The Chosen of Ursa has advantage on attack rolls against a creature that doesn’t have all its hit points.
Legendary Resistance (2/Day). When the Chosen of Ursa fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
Legendary Offence (2/day). When a creature succeeds on a saving throw against one of the Chosen of Ursa's abilities, The Chosen of Ursa can force them to fail that saving throw instead.
Regeneration. The Chosen of Ursa regains 15 hit points at the start of each of its turns. If the Chosen of Ursa takes damage from a silver weapon, this trait doesn’t function at the start of the the chosen of ursa's next turn. The chosen of ursa dies only if it starts its turn with 0 hit points and doesn’t regenerate.
Multiattack. The Chosen of Ursa makes three attacks: two with its Greatsword (humanoid form) or three with its Bite or its Claws in any order (bear or hybrid form).
Bite (Bear or Hybrid Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d8 + 7) piercing damage plus 21 (6d6) necrotic damage.
Claws (Bear or Hybrid Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (2d12 + 7) slashing damage. If the target is a creature, the chosen of ursa can attempt to either stun the target or to push it away, it must succeed on a DC 21 Strength saving throw becoming stunned or being pushed away a number of feet equal to the amount the save failed by (minimum of 5 ft) on a failed save.
Greatsword (Humanoid Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 21 (4d6 + 7) slashing damage.
Change Shape. The Chosen of Ursa polymorphs into a Large bear-humanoid hybrid or into a Large bear, or back into its true form, which appears humanoid. Its statistics, other than its size and speed, are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn’t transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies.
Silver Aversion. When the Chosen of Ursa is hit by a silver weapon it immediately makes one attack and moves up to half his movement speed.
The Chosen of Ursa can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time, and only at the end of another creature’s turn. The chosen of ursa regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Swipe. The chosen of ursa makes one Claws attack (bear or hybrid form only) or one Greatsword attack (humanoid form only).
Brutal Charge (Costs 2 Actions). The chosen of ursa moves up to its speed without provoking opportunity attacks, and it can make one Claws attack (bear or hybrid form only) or one Greatsword attack (humanoid form only) against each creature it moves past.
Bellowing Roar (Costs 3 Actions). The chosen of ursa releases a mighty roar, each creature within 30ft of the chosen of ursa must make a DC 21 constitution saving throw or take 14 (4d6) thunder damage and become frightened.
Description
The Chosen of Ursa are a special form of lycanthrope blessed by the Great Spirit Ursa, the guardian of nature and father of all lycanthropes, for the Chosen lycanthropy is a gift and gain complete control of the transformation. This form of lycanthropy is also unable to be transmitted through a bite. They also gain the ability to regenerate from even the most grievous of wounds, only the touch of silver can halt the regeneration, a Chosen of Ursa may have been the origin of the myth that silver kills lycanthropes.
