Traits

Evasion. If Tool is subjected to an effect that allows it to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, it instead takes no damage if it succeeds on the saving throw, and only half damage if it fails. It can't use this trait if it's incapacitated.

Scrappable. Even if destroyed, Tool will reform, effectively resurrecting if anyone casts Mending on his remains.

Actions

Force Strike. Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, range 30 ft., one target you can see. Hit: 1d4 + 2 force damage.

Repair (3/Day). The magical mechanisms inside the defender restore  hit points to itself or to one construct or object within 5 feet of it.

Reactions

Channel Magic. Tool delivers a spell you cast that has a range of touch. The homunculus must be within 120 feet of you.

Description

Avanzo is the single oldest living creature in Blacktower.
The homunculus is friendly to the party, and it will obeys their commands.
It is also terrified of the situation and hopes to escape inntact, if at all possible. He has already been destroyed twice and hates the experience. Since the last time, it was reanimated by Hecatonkires, and has since escaped, keeping at large in the miriad conducts and pipes of the facility, which it knows perfectly.
He was present during the Daalek incident as well. It has since befriended and bonded with Art from the party.

In combat, the homunculus shares your initiative count, but it takes its turn immediately after yours. It can move and use its reaction on its own, but the only action it takes on its turn is the Dodge action, unless you take a bonus action on your turn to command it to take the action in its stat block or the Dash, Disengage, Help, Hide, or Search action.

The homunculus regains 2d6 hit points if the mending spell is cast on it. If it dies, it vanishes, leaving its shard in its space.
