Enhanced Grip: The Apes in Argyle require great grip strength, giving them advantage on any rolls involving the use of their hands. Dexterity saves, strength checks, ect.
Strong Legs. The harsh conditions of Argyle have allowed the apes to develop strong legs, able to take all but the highest drops. Any fall of 30ft or less, while the ape is standing, does no damage, and any dexterity checks to keep their footing from a fall from this height is with advantage.
Multiattack. The ape makes two fist attacks.
Fist. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 22 (4d12 + 6) bludgeoning damage.
Rock. Ranged Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, range 50/100 ft., one target. Hit: 30 (7d6 + 6) bludgeoning damage.
Rock Spray. Cone Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, cone range, 20ft. Hit: 30 (10d6 + 6} piercing damage. Damage is halved if the targets pass a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw.
Quick Jump. As a reaction, the ape can jump away from an attack, taking reduced damage, and moving as far as their jump height allows (25 feet). The damage reduction is halved for all slashing, piercing, and bludgeoning damage, but fire, psychic, and other such effects remain the full damage.
Description
The apes that live on Argyle are strong and fearsome creatures, and are all the more dangerous for it. They are known for being able to use simple tools, stones and rocks, but prefer to use their strong hands and legs for most tasks. The apes are tall, well over 12 feet when fully matured. The hair covering the apes is almost like a thick coat, leaving only their hands, feet, mouth and eyes exposed, and hiding any other skin. Their fur often matches their environment, ones located in the highest mountains being a white/gray color, and ones in the forest either having brown or a deep dark green, owed to their heritage rather than any magical affect.
The apes are also known to use rocks as weapons, able to quickly break off large boulders as single projectiles, or crush those same boulders into smaller rocks to use as scattered projectile. Many a Messenger has, unfortunately, fallen to the apes using these attacks.
