Lair and Lair Actions
Barn Cowls tend to live in nesting areas. These nesting areas are usually in forests, and consist of two major parts. Firstly, there are many large nests high in trees. There are usually 1- 3 nests per tree. The second major part is the nesting center. This is a clear area at the center of all the nests. It is usually made of flat, hard packed dirt. Sometimes it may be made of a pre-made or gathered material. Some Barn Cowls live in a more solitary environment, usually ending up in barns. Although this is lest common, this habitat is closer to humans and this is why Barn Cowls are named the way they are.
