Description
Sardior was said to be a unique ruby dragon. In his natural form, he had a long and sinewy body covered with deep ruby red scales. At a distance, he was often mistaken for an ancient red dragon, but his playful demeanor soon betrayed his true self. He was also reputed to be a great conversationalist, and many who met him were unprepared for his sharp wit.
According to ancient draconic myth, Sardior was the first creation of the primordial dragons, Bahamut and Tiamat. He helped them to create the first metallic and chromatic dragons. When the gods of the Outer Planes invaded the Material plane, Sardior hid in the "heart of creation", and it is believed he died when the "First World" was destroyed. However, some sages believe that Sardior's consciousness survived, scattered, and fused with all the worlds of the Material Plane. It's also said that the gem dragons were born from the remains of Sardior's consciousness.
Sardior’s aspect displays the full glory of the Ruby Dragon, towering over even ancient dragons. Covered in ruby scales, scholars who go to converse with him are often left astounded at his magnificence. Though Sardior normally wasn't one to travel to the material plane, his aspect might appear in the form of a red-coated swordsman, a psionic sage, or a cardinal. In any form, Sardior’s aspect is often found by his lonesome, typically reading or meditating.
In combat, Sardiors enemies experience the full force of his psionics. His breath can wreak monumental destruction and break one's mind to the point of insanity, and few things in the mortal world can cause him lasting harm.
