Description

Ander bears within his soul the light of the heavens. He is descended from humans with a touch of the power of Mount Celestia, the divine realm of many lawful good deities. Ander was born to serve as a champion of the gods, a man of otherworldly visage, with luminous features that reveal his celestial heritage.

From an early age, Ander received visions and guidance from a celestial entity via dreams. These dreams helped shape him, granting Ander a sense of destiny and a desire for righteousness. Ander counts a specific celestial agent of the gods as a guide. This entity is a practical and lighthearted deva named Galladia, an angel who acts as a messenger from the gods to the mortal world.

Many organizations active in the North and across the face of Faerûn aren’t bound by strictures of geography. These factions pursue their agendas without regard for political boundaries, and their members operate anywhere the organization deems necessary. These groups employ listeners, rumormongers, smugglers, sellswords, cache-holders (people who guard caches of wealth or magic for use by the faction’s operatives), haven keepers, and message drop minders, to name a few. At the core of every faction are those who don’t merely fulfill a small function for that organization, but who serve as its hands, head, and heart. Ander serves as one of those hands for The Order of the Gauntlet (details below).

Characteristics

Personality Traits: “I idolize a particular hero of my faith, and constantly refer to that person’s deeds and example.” & “Nothing can shake my optimistic attitude.”

Ideal: (Faith) “I trust that my deity will guide my actions. I have faith that if I work hard, things will go well.“

Bond: “Everything I do is for the common people.”

Flaw: “I put too much trust in those who wield power within my temple’s hierarchy.”

Equipment: Badge of The Order of the Gauntlet, a copy of a seminal Order text, a lute, a shortsword, a shortbow and quiver with 20 arrows, a costume, a chain shirt, and a pouch containing 15 gp.

The Order of the Gauntlet: One of the newest power groups in Faerûn, the Order of the Gauntlet has an agenda similar to that of the Harpers. Its methods are vastly different, however: bearers of the gauntlet are holy warriors on a righteous quest to crush evil and promote justice, and they never hide in the shadows. Order agents tend to be proficient in Religion, and frequently seek aid from law enforcement friendly to the order’s ideals, and the clergy of the order’s patron gods.
