Additional Proficiency. Birdpipes

All Eyes on You. Her accent, mannerisms, figures of speech, and appearance all mark Vadania as foreign. She can parley this attention into access to people and places she might not otherwise have. Noble lords, scholars, and merchant princes, to name a few, might be interested in hearing about the Astral Plane and it’s Elves.

Fey Ancestry. Vadania has advantage on saving throws against being charmed.

Radiant Soul (1/Long Rest). When Vadania succeeds on a death save, she can regain 5 hit points.

Trance. Vadani doesn’t need to sleep, and magic cannot put her to sleep. Instead, she meditates deeply, remaining semiconscious, for 4 hours a day. After resting in this way, Vadania gains the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.

Trance Proficiency. Whenever Vadani finishes a long rest using her Trance trait, she gains two proficiencies, each one with a weapon or a tool of her choice (not included). She retains them until finishing her next long rest.

Spellcasting. Vadania is a 1st-level spellcaster (cleric). Her spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 13, +5 to hit with spell attacks).

Description

Vadania is a junior members of the clergy of her clergy, as such she is granted minor spellcasting power by the Seldarine. Long ago, groups of elves ventured from the Feywild to the Astral Plane to be closer to their gods. Life in the Silver Void has imbued their souls with a spark of divine light. That light manifests as a starry gleam in an astral elf’s eyes.

Vadania is from the Astral Plane, a reality so remote that few of the common folk realize that it exists, and chances are good that even if some people Vadania meets have heard of it, they know merely the name and perhaps a few outrageous stories. Vadania has come to the Toril for adventure and travel.

Although she finds some of this land’s ways to be strange and slightly discomfiting, some things its people take for granted are, to Vadania, new wonders that she’s never laid eyes on before. By the same token, she’s a person of interest, for good or ill, to those around her almost anywhere she goes.

Characteristics

Personality Traits. “I have different assumptions from those around me concerning personal space, blithely invading others’ space in innocence.” & “I begin or end my day with small traditional rituals that are unfamiliar to those around me.”

Ideal. Adventure. “I’m far from home, and everything is strange and wonderful!”

Bond. “So long as I have this necklace from my homeland, I can face any adversity in this strange land.”

Flaw. “I don’t take kindly to some of the actions and motivations of the people of this land, because these folk are different from me.”

Equipment: One set of traveler’s clothes; a set of birdpipes; a heavy, wooden map case containing poorly wrought maps from the Astral Plane that depict where Vadania is in Faerûn; a small Rhodochrosite necklace worth 10 gp in the style of the Astral Planes’s craftsmanship; and a pouch containing 5 gp.
